Yes, it is 100% possible. The problem isn’t with daal, bhat, masu but the overall amount of food you eat. You see, your body turns everything you eat into glucose for energy whether it is daal, bhat or chicken breast & broccoli. But if you consume more food than you use via exercise, daily activities etc. on a regular basis your body will start storing the excess food as fat causing weight gain.
